Do I have to fill the gap?

For teeth that show and teeth you chew with, we recommend it. Without a replacement the neighbouring teeth tilt and the tooth above or below the gap drifts into it.

Oral surgery

We only take a tooth out when there is no longer any sense in saving it. We always tell you first why we are suggesting it and what happens to the gap afterwards.

A straightforward extraction is done in one visit with the area numbed. Harder cases, such as a fractured root or a wisdom tooth that has not come through, we handle surgically with an X-ray to guide us.

After the procedure you get clear instructions on caring for the wound, and if you need stitches removed we book you in for that. We also talk right away about what could fill the gap later.
